Made it on our third attempt! The broch is amazing and the birdlife extensive. The whole island is a RSPB reserve.
Lunna Kirk and East Lunna Voe with Lunna House in the distance. On the other side of the narrow spit of remote land that forms Lunna Ness is West Lunna Voe. The area’s remoteness made it ideal as the initial base of the ‘Shetland Bus’ before it’s base was moved to Scalloway.

Decided to return to Shetland Mainland today and will wild camp alongside Muckle Roe cemetery tonight to be ready for a walk to the Hams o’ Muckle Roe tomorrow.
As good as it was when we stayed on our original trip but like may of the sites we have used this time it was much busier.
Returning to Yell we took a trip to Cullivoe and noticed that there was going to be a Fish & Chip evening at the Community Hall that night.
